Katarina is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist here at Janz Family Therapy dedicated to empowering and encouraging those seeking support. Katarina earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Monterey Bay. Originally from the central valley, she came back to attend California State University, Fresno, earning a Master's of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling.
As a clinician, Katarina gravitates towards working with diverse populations, including individuals of all ages and genders, LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, families, children, and college students. She believes that every person deserves to have a non-judgemental environment to process difficult emotions and events in order to grow into a healthier version of themselves. With a Person-centered, Trauma-informed approach, Katarina works to facilitate an atmosphere of trust, safety, collaboration, and empowerment.
Alongside person-centered, she uses an integrative approach of therapies that focuses on building coping skills, working towards a healthy mindset, managing stress, changing unhelpful behaviors, and regulating the nervous system. Katarina has experience treating depression, anxiety, self-esteem/image issues, transitional life phases, relational wounds, and family systems.
