Janz Family Therapy accepts most Medi-Cal managed care plans, including Cal Viva Health, Health Net Medi-Cal, and Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal.

• We can provide you with a superbill to present to your insurance if you have a plan that reimburses you for mental health treatment

• Private Pay via cash, debit card, credit card or HSA card benefits

Insurance may cover your services if you have an approved diagnosis and your treatment can be proven to be medically necessary. Some insurances require pre-approval prior to treatment. If provided treatment through your insurance, your treatment goals will need to be geared toward addressing a confirmed diagnosis.

Insurance may cover all of the session cost or require you to pay a copay or coinsurance amount. You are responsible for knowing what type of insurance coverage you have prior to treatment getting started. NOTE: General Relationship/Couples Counseling and court-ordered therapy are typically not reimbursable by insurance. There are certain instances where a spouse may be able to support an identified patient in treatment which can be covered, but the goals still must be working toward medical necessity. Contact your insurance carrier with questions about your health benefits and coverage under your plan.

Therapy can also be known as counseling or psychotherapy and is a resource for people and their families to learn new tools for improving their relationships with one another. Individual and group counseling include a variety of treatments used to treat behavioral health problems. Counseling and more specialized psychotherapies seek to change behaviors, thoughts, emotions, and how people see and understand situations (SAMSHA). Yes, we are currently accepting clients ages 5 and up to 100 years old if you are developmentally, intellectually and legally able to consent and participate in 60 minute sessions. We also offer telehealth/online therapy for those that are interested, and in-person appointments in Fresno. Please visit our Team page and Request an Appointment with the therapist of your choice. Once you have a requested appointment, we will email you a link to the intake packet. We look forward to hearing from you! If your needs are intensive, we are not the best fit for you. Please see our resources page or contact your nearest hospital or county behavioral health to learn more about intensive outpatient or inpatient services, or emergency medical care.

Our therapists are able to work with those with mild symptoms and needs, from anxiety and stress to depression therapy and relationship support. People who are motivated to work on themselves, develop and reach for healthy goals will likely do well here. The only service we provide is talk therapy. We are a small business in an outpatient setting, so anyone with severe needs would be better served by a program that is a Full Service Partnership or specialized program. FSPs are more likely to meet multiple needs like medication, life skills, support for caregivers, education, housing, social services, etc. Those programs can typically be accessed by going to the County Department of Behavioral Health.

The providers, managers, and staff at this practice work hard to provide excellent service to our clients. We are not here to suffer verbal or physical abuse from clients, their family members nor members of the public. Any clients or their relatives who use threatening or offensive behavior, either verbal or physical, in person or by telephone to any member of the staff or therapists at this practice will be removed from the practice list.
