Position: Associate Mental Health Therapist
About the Organization: Janz Family Therapy, Incorporated (Janz Therapy) serves California’s Central Valley by providing individualized mental health services to children, adults and families with mild to moderate needs. At Janz Therapy we have an open approach to welcoming clients with culturally diverse identities. backgrounds, and experiences. Therapists at Janz Therapy are trained and expected to work using evidenced-based practices, with an emphasis in cognitive behavioral therapy.
Position Overview: Janz Family Therapy, Inc. is looking for an associate that fits into our team culture. The ideal candidate will be interested in learning how to work in a private practice that is primarily insurance-based with some training in accepting private pay. Adult, child and family hours of experience offered. Opportunity to transition to full-time if interested. At least two later evening shifts expected to be worked per week. Must be willing to work with children (no exceptions), adults, and couples. You are a great candidate for this position if are self-motivated, can work independently, and desire to grow professionally.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Excellent customer service
Intake and assessment
Conducting mental health treatment
Documentation and clinical note writing
Supervision and consultation participation
Completing training as necessary
Case management
Marketing & networking
Passionate and willing to work with clients in a wide range of ages 5 to age 90 (including child hours)
Administrative duties related to clinical work
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent references and history of good work attendance
MFT, PCC Associate Registration Number
Completed Master Degree in Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling or a related field
Experience, knowledge, skills and abilities working with culturally diverse populations preferred
Strong Computer literacy and willingness to learn and develop skills using electronic recordkeeping system for client charting
Willing to work in the office from our local offices in Fresno and Telehealth/video
Job Types: Part-time, with option to transition to full-time
Salary: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
